AdventHealth Orlando (formerly Florida Hospital)
This very large aquarium had just a handful of saltwater fish even though the tank is quite large and viewable from 2 sides. This is because these saltwater fish became stressed because they were in such close proximity to other fish and started to attack each other until there were only 3-4 left. When visitors came up to the fish tank they rarely saw any fish as they were hiding most of the time. The hospital administration was about to remove the fish tank and put video screens running a video loop of fish in an aquarium. Thankfully they gave us the opportunity to convert the saltwater fish tank into a spectacular freshwater aquarium.
McDonald's Florida Mall, Orlando FL
This McDonald's near the Florida Mall in Orlando, FL had a bad case of saltwater sadness as you can see by the before pictures. After converting this saltwater tank into a gorgeous freshwater aquarium the franchise owner wanted us to convert the rest of his restaurants in the Orlando area.
Quarterdeck Bar & Grill, Fort Lauderdale Beach FL
The Quarterdeck Bar & Grill is another great example of Saltwater Sadness. The owners love aquariums and have one in each of their restaurants. They have had a saltwater tanks for many years but over time the decoration became dull and boring. Additionally, after loosing fish multiple times they grew tired of replacing them and eventually most of their tanks had just a few fish in each. After their conversion to a beautiful freshwater system, customers loved the new look and staff started to hear lots of compliments. Management decided to convert all the restaurant saltwater tanks to freshwater aquariums.
